NNCC actively engages in Netherlands ‘Ship of the Future’ Conference

On September 8^th and 9^th, The Netherlands Navy organized its annual ‘Ship of the Future’ Event in Den Helder. NNCC contributed to this event by hosting workshops and presenting itself on the conference floor. The event revolved around the modernization of naval platforms, using technology and innovation to increase the Netherlands Naval readiness in the near future. Manned and unmanned platforms, in a ‘system of systems’ configuration, effective data integration and visualization along with modern simulation techniques where prevalent during this conference. It showed the power of combined innovation when navy, materiel departments and knowledge institutions work closely together.

NNCC promoted the international collaboration under the SeaSEC banner, and hosted workshops concerning new ideas for international challenges to address operational problems. It was nice to collect so many new ideas from naval personnel and others to this end. NNCC also was able to have meaningful conversations with various stakeholders in the Netherlands Navy. All this undoubtedly contributes to a stronger, future-ready international naval presence.
